Client arrested for Battery, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Carless Driving. Our client was accused of causing an auto accident, hitting the passenger of a car and leaving the scene. Before trial it was shown that our client was the victim of the accident and was assaulted by a passenger in the collision. To avoid the assault, our client left the area before the police arrived. It was shown that the victims misrepresented their statements, and that they had a history of assaults. State dropped the Battery and Careless Driving charges before a jury trial. Our client paid a $100 fine and court cost for leaving the scene without contacting law enforcement. |
